Position Summary

As Senior Product Developer reporting into the PD Manager you will be working closely with the design team and PD team with responsibility for ensuring the timely development of the womens runway and commercial collections for this luxury women’s RTW brand.

The ideal Product Developer will have experience developing Womens Ready-to-Wear for a runway brand working with CMT factories in Italy, the UK and Europe on both mainline and runway collections.

Main Responsibilities

Handling the SMS product development and sampling process for the show, look book and commercial collections: providing clear visibility of what stage each sample is and where it is and communicating outstanding issues to relevant parties.
Managing the product specification sheets from creation to production handover working with PD Manager and design team, ensuring that all parties in the PD team fill in their relevant areas and that all data is up-to-date and correct, tracking any changes.
Managing all factory allocations and manufacturer critical paths keeping the CMT log up to date and tracking samples from creation to delivery into the sales showroom.
Report construction quality issues to the relevant supplier.
Assist the PD Manager in negotiating Production CMT prices.
Follow the critical path and assist the PD Manager in ensuring development deadlines are achieved, flagging issues early to relevant parties, helping to avoid and resolve problems and communicating changes to the team.
Working together with the raw material developers to monitor the sampling of raw materials and their allocation to products and ensure appropriate data sheets are prepared and completed in time for handover to the Production team.
Manage the creation of Product Costings and Raw Materials into Zedonk prior to sales and handover to Production Team.
Working with the Studio Manager to help coordinate the creation of all in-house samples for both the runway and commercial collections, keeping track of all changes.
Responsible for the creation of Product specification books and costing sheets for all Special projects, ensuring that the relevant parties are meeting critical path deadlines (ordering Raw Materials, Pattern cutting, Making in the Atelier).
Liaising with the Production Team on handover from development to production ensuring all relevant information is supplied, assisting with any development queries.
Manage two Product Developers and 1 PDA: supervising their day-to-day work and ensuring that all team targets are met, providing any necessary training and helping them develop their skills.

Essential Skills

Product Developer or Senior Product Developer with at least 5 years experience in luxury fashion for a runway brand.
Experience working with CMT factories in the UK, Italy and Europe essential.
Computer literate in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and MS Office. Zedonk experience a plus.
Experience developing a wide range of complex styles including surface print and embellishment.
Clear and accurate communication skills.
Proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a positive personality.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Experience managing junior team members.
